Job Summary:
The Sourcing Specialist supports the Talent Acquisition team by helping to identify and engage potential candidates for clinical roles across the organization. This is an entry-level position ideal for someone who is curious about recruiting, eager to learn, and passionate about healthcare talent. Under the guidance of experienced recruiters, the Sourcing Specialist will learn how to use tools and strategies to find candidates, perform brief phone screens to confirm basic qualifications, and pass along qualified leads to the recruiting team. This role also plays an important part in building pipelines for frequently hired and hard-to-fill positions.
Essential Functions:
- Partner with recruiters to understand hiring needs and prioritize sourcing efforts across clinical requisitions.
- Learn and apply sourcing strategies to attract passive and active candidates through job boards, resume databases, LinkedIn, and other channels.
- Conduct brief phone screens to assess alignment with minimum qualifications and note any early-stage red flags.
- Submit prequalified candidates to recruiters with summaries and documentation.
- Build and maintain talent pipelines for high-volume roles and key geographic locations.
- Maintain accurate and organized candidate records within the applicant tracking system (ATS).
- Track and report on sourcing metrics such as submittals and pipeline activity.
- Stay engaged with recruiting trends and healthcare talent sourcing best practices.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Perform other sourcing or recruitment-related duties as assigned.
- Support special projects such as hiring campaigns or sourcing for new service areas.
- Recommend ideas or tools to enhance candidate pipeline development.
- Support interview logistics by assisting with scheduling and coordinating candidate interviews across various teams and stakeholders.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
- Coachability: Willingness to learn and grow in the recruiting field.
- Communication: Clear written and verbal communication skills for candidate outreach and recruiter collaboration.
- Initiative: Self-motivated with a curious mindset and problem-solving attitude.
- Organization: Able to track multiple leads and manage information across various tools and platforms.
- Technology Comfort: Familiarity with online research, spreadsheets, and email; ability to quickly learn new systems such as ATS or sourcing platforms.
- Discretion: Maintains confidentiality when handling candidate and organizational information.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Experience: Prior recruiting or sourcing experience is a plus but not required. Customer service, sales, administrative support, or healthcare experience is also valuable.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or professional development coursework preferred.
- Skills: Strong communication, organizational skills, eagerness to learn, and attention to detail.
- Other Requirements: Must be reliable, self-motivated, and open to coaching. This role is hybrid (3 days in office 2 days remote) and requires very minimal travel.
Environmental Conditions:
- 3 days in the office. 2 days of remote work. Moderate noise level.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent sitting and use of a computer. Must be able to handle high volumes of candidate outreach with professionalism and accuracy.
